Cosmetic Myths Part 2

We’re in a series to debunk some common myths around non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

Today is all about dermal fillers!

Myth #1: “Dermal fillers will make me look unnatural.”

Truth: Many people are walking around with dermal fillers who look beautiful and natural—you would never know that they have them! If you’re not careful about your provider, they can overfill, which will look unnatural. Yet most people who get dermal fillers look very natural.

The key is choosing a skilled provider with an aesthetic eye who can use dermal fillers based on your anatomy and proportions. When you come to Divine, you will never have to worry about looking unnatural. As cosmetic procedures experts, we ensure that everything looks very natural. The best compliment is when most people will not know that you had a thing done!

Myth #2: “Shop around for the cheapest price for your dermal filler.”

Truth: Providers in the aesthetic space are artists. Art is a skill, and you want to make sure you’re going to someone who has good taste and will do an excellent job for you. When researching providers, ensure that you find someone with a long experience history. Look at their work! Explore our website for before and after pictures to ensure you get the best results.

When you first come to the office for a consultation, we’ll explain everything in detail and make sure you feel great about your decision. One thing I love to see in a consult is a picture of what you looked like 10 or 15 years ago. Our job is to mimic your picture and bring you back to what you had 10 to 15 years ago. We don’t want to change you. We don’t want you to look different. We want everyone who looks at you to say, “Wow, she looks so good for her age! What is she doing? What’s her secret?”

MYTH #3: “I’ve had fillers, but it didn’t work for me.”

Truth: While we can keep the results natural and subtle, you need a certain amount to achieve your end goal. When patients have often attempted derma fillers in the past, my first question is, “How much product has been placed” Sometimes, the patient is simply afraid to do more.

That’s when choosing the right provider is critical! Typically, there is a formula I’ve used over the past 16 years. It’s simple: calculate the volume replacement for every decade old you are that’s the number of syringes you need to give this excellent correction. If you’re in your 50s, you will need five syringes. We may not put that all in one session, but the upkeep will make sure you’re improving.

If you’ve considered dermal filler, schedule a consultation today!
